You Have a Super Power!

Proverbs 15:4

The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.

How do I discover my super power?

Surrender my heart and tongue to God

Proverbs 16:1-3

To humans belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the proper answer of the tongue. All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord.Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.

Practice praising, worshiping, thankfulness and awe

Psalm 35:28

My tongue will proclaim your righteousness, your praises all day long.

Psalm 37:30

The mouths of the righteous utter wisdom, and their tongues speak what is just.

Ephesians 5:19-21

Speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Proverbs 25:15

Through patience a ruler can be persuaded, and a gentle tongue can break a bone.

Not Flattery

Proverbs 28:23

Whoever rebukes a person will in the end gain favor rather than one who has a flattering tongue.

Let’s try a whole new approach

Colossians 4:6

Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

  1. This is who God says you are.

  2. I do not know your heart.

  3. Jesus loves you and is at work within you.

  4. The bible says that you answer to Jesus not to me.

  5. I will love you with Grace regardless of what you do.

  6. I can’t go with you when you go against God.

1 Peter 2:23

When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.
