Unfinished Commitment



 

1. What you commit to reveals what you trust and who you are.


Matthew 6:19-21


“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.


2. Committing to a life of generosity is just part of following Jesus.


Proverbs 11:24-25


One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.

3. Commitment opens the door for God to do more than all we could ask or imagine.


Ephesians 3:20


Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
