What does God say about the value of life?
Genesis 9:5-7
“But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it. And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being. “Whoever sheds human blood, by humans shall their blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made mankind. As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it.”
Blood was the sign of mercy for Israel at the first Passover (Exodus 12:13).
Blood sealed God’s covenant with Israel (Exodus 24:8).

What does God say about us in the womb?
Psalms 139:13-16
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body.
Jeremiah 1:5
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
When does life begin? When I get pregnant, does a baby live inside of me?
Biologists from 1,058 academic institutions around the world assessed survey items on when a human’s life begins, and overall, 96% (5337 out of 5577) affirmed the fertilization view.
As demonstrated above, the human embryonic organism formed at fertilization is a whole human being, and therefore it is not just a “blob” or a “bunch of cells.” This new human individual also has a mixture of both the mother’s and the father’s chromosomes, and therefore it is not just a “piece of the mother’s tissues.”

What does God call his followers to?
Psalms 127:3-5

Life is sacred and special because each of us are created in God’s image, and no man is to take another’s life. Biologically life begins at conception, so abortion at any stage is the taking of a life and, therefore, morally wrong before God.
But what can we do to help in a state where abortion is legal up to the point of birth?
