God's Glory and Me

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.

22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

Why did God create the earth? TO GLORIFY HIMSELF

And they were calling to one another:

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” Isaiah 6:3

“The heavens declare the glory of God” (Psalm 19:1)”

27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27

I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’ Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth— everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.” Isaiah 43:6-7

Why does God love his people? To protect his GLORY, NAME, BRAND

22 For the Lord will not abandon His people on account of His great name, because the Lord has been pleased to make you a people for Himself. 1 Samual 12:22

What is the most glorious display of God’s glory? On the cross giving you HIS NAME

[a] we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and [b] we exult in hope of the glory of God.And not only this, but [c] we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
