The Big Idea: Your path will most definitively determine your destination, but the destination of every path is pre-determined.
Four Principles of the Path
1. Pick your Path
In the paths of the wicked are snares and pitfalls, but those who would preserve their life stay far from them. – Proverbs 22:5
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. – Matthew 7:13-14
2. Adjust your Aim
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. – Proverbs 22:6
3. Consult your Compass
There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. – Proverbs 16:25
Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord. – Psalm 119:1
4. Correct your Course
The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty. – Proverbs 22:3
Stern discipline awaits anyone who leaves the path; the one who hates correction will die. – Proverbs 15:10
