Productive: Direction - Week 3
Big Idea: I feel lost; there are so many impossible decisions to make? God says it is pretty simple. You can get lost in your thoughts at any given time, or you can get back on track in him.
“When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.” James 1:13-15
“Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of all he created.” James 1:16-18
I can live on track by using God’s map to avoid getting lost, not self-determination, guilt, and shame.
Build your life on grace.
The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:20-21
Clean the eyes of your heart. (1 John 1:9)
