One Story Two Testaments: Noah

Updated: Jun 20

Phrase of the Day: “Jesus is my Reason”

Quiz of the Day: Do you know more about the…

  • Old Testament?

  • New Testament?

In some ways, the Bible is like a mystery novel.

Have you ever heard someone say something derogatory about you or your faith and you weren’t sure whether to respond or even how to respond?

Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God. Genesis 6:9

How do you think Noah was treated by his neighbors?

A. Ridiculed    B. Despised    C. Challenged    D. Harassed    E. All of the above

By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith. Hebrews 11:7

But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect. 1 Peter 3:15

The Big Idea: You can live boldly in an evil world, but only if you are “all in” with Jesus.

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, in which he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison, because they formerly did not obey, when God's patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water. 1 Peter 3:18-20

This Week:

  • Defend what is good, right and just.

  • Focus on your family.

  • Proclaim the good news.

  • Tell them why Jesus is your reason.
