HOW TO BUILD YOUR REPUTATION 

 

A good reputation is a better choice than riches; esteem is more valuable than money. Proverbs 22:1 (James Moffatt Translation) 

 

A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold. Proverbs 22:1 

 

A good reputation is built on CHARACTER not IMAGE.   

 

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. 1 Samuel 16:7 

 

 

  1. Speak with INTEGRITY. 

 

Eloquent lips are unsuited to a godless fool—how much worse lying lips to a ruler!  Proverbs 17:7  

 

Like clouds and wind without rain is a man who boasts of gifts he does not give. Proverbs 25:14 (GN) 

 

Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will 

be found out.  Proverbs 10:9

  1. Serve with INTENSITY. 

 

Do not those who plot evil go astray? But those who plan what is good find love and 

faithfulness.  Proverbs 14:22 

 

Whoever seeks good finds favor, but evil comes to one who searches for it.

 Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.  Proverbs 28:13

  1. Share with GENEROSITY. 

 

They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor, their righteousness endures forever; their horn will be lifted high in honor. Psalm 112:9  

 

 

A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25

  1. Succeed with HUMILITY. 

 

"Praise is the test of character."   

  

The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but people are tested by their praise.  Proverbs 27:21
