How do you identify an inner Vow?
Do not try to change your reactions.
Be honest about them.
Look back at them.
Proverbs 21:3 ESV
To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
Proverbs 12:17 ESV
Whoever speaks the truth gives honest evidence, but a false witness utters deceit.
1. What circumstances, actions, problems, opportunities alerted me?
2. What were my feelings? Excitement, fear, disgust, anger, delight, peace
3. What was the trigger?
The world says eliminate the trigger/God says change the idol.
Romans 5:3-5 NIV
Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
Romans 5:6-8 NIV
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
