Growth Path That Equips - Part 1

The beginning God meets you here:

Key: This is between you and Jesus, heart-to-heart

Ephesians 2:1-2

And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world.

The truth that makes us one.

  1. I am dead in my trespasses and sins.

  2. Jesus is God.

  3. Born of a virgin.

  4. Jesus lived a righteous life.

  5. Jesus died on the cross.

  6. Jesus rose from the dead on the 3rd day.

  7. Jesus invites each of us to be forgiven and into a new life.

The heart is surrendered to God!

Ephesians 2:4-5

But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Jesus has given you amazing promises, but in many ways, you are a baby learning to walk. In this step, you learn from others what grace is and how to live from each block. (Path)

Blocks from Path

1 Peter 2:1-3

Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander, like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation, if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord.

Key: (Path)

Am I going to trust Jesus and his way or keep trusting myself and my way?

Jesus’ perspective or mine?

Jesus’s desire or mine?

Jesus’ decisions or mine?

Jesus is the boss, or am I?

Give my hurts, hang-ups, and habits to Jesus, or hide them.

Am I going to talk, do marriage, parent, listen to music, drink, smoke, hang out with the same people, clubs, goals, social media, dress, measure success the same way, or learn to trade in my way for Jesus’ way?

Growing in your relationship with Jesus by applying the 4 blocks: In a life group, Apprenticing in ministry, Someone is consistently asking you the grace application questions.
