Can I Become Eternally Wealthy

Big Idea: Worldly wealth creates insecurity and often eternal poverty. But spiritual wealth is promised to everyone at any time. It is your choice where and when you will invest.

Matthew 6:19-21

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Matthew 10:42

And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.”

What do you have to invest?

Heart, Passion, Will

Giftedness/ Skills/ abilities

Long-Term Investor - I follow Jesus for what it will earn me in eternity

Short-Term Investor - I follow Jesus for what it will earn me here on earth.

Where do you invest?

Jesus, His purpose, and his mission.

But what about my other responsibilities?

My God, My Family, Myself, My Church, My Success,

Investment is using the resources you have been given to fulfill the responsibilities you have been given.

Can I do both? Can I fulfill my responsibilities and build eternal wealth at the same time?

Matthew 10:38-39

Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.

Colossians 3:23-24

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
