Being Clear About The Future

BOLD in my…

- Heart

- Relationships

- Roles

  • Leader of my home

  • Parent

  • Member in my church

  • Citizen

What is at the root of your boldness?

Do you live from the root or the fruit?

1. Everyone is disobedient and will pay for their rebellion.

Hebrews 2:1-2

“We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment”

2. If you ignore this salvation, you will fade away.

Hebrews 2:3

"How shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation?"

3. Grace, forgiveness, and transformation by the cross is the answer to our problems.

Hebrews 2:9

"But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone."

4. Jesus is not ashamed to call you brother and sister.

Hebrews 2:11

Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.

5. Jesus has overcome what you’re facing and is offering to share himself as the solution.

Hebrews 2:17-18

"For this reason, he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted."

How can a parent be Boldly full of grace and truth?

  • Is God’s word your source of truth?

  • Is the gospel your focus or just one of the options?

  • Do people need to be accepted, made to feel valuable in their sin or grace, forgiveness, and transformation?

  • Are you ashamed to call Jesus your brother?

  • Are you trying to solve problems outside of Jesus?
