Are you enjoying your conversation with God? Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver 2 Cor 9:7. We are in the middle of Faith Promise 2020, a time when we decide in our hearts what we will pledge to give to God through Skyline next year. This conversation has the potential to bring you into God's presence with an incredible intimacy and a cheerful spirit.
Here are a few pointers:
1. Remember that the Spiritual trumps the material. God can take care of you and your heart. Money without faith will come up short every time.
2. God wants to grow your faith by you taking a chance on him spiritually to provide for you materially. You take the risk, and he fulfills his promise. Here are a few words that come after the verse above: "God is able to bless you abundantly, providing all that you need, you will abound in every good work, increase your store of seed, you will be enriched in every way, resulting in thanksgiving to God." And that is not even half of it.
3. Push yourself. Generosity grows in our hearts as we grow in our faith. So cheerfully go farther than you have ever gone before, and watch God do his thing.
