In a few weeks, on Sunday, July 8th, we will be celebrating two more of our Skyline family who are ministers loving to serve for Jesus and with Jesus each week. They are Mayra Feliciano and Andrea Astorino.
Mayra serves as a small group leader in Little Steps, and if anyone has ever experienced Little Steps (18 months through 2 years old), you will know how much patience, love, perseverance, focus on Jesus, willingness to keep learning from the Skyline leaders and the necessity to be at the weekly services to keep learning about Jesus, His heart, and His character is needed. If you happen to see Mayra in the Little Steps room, you will see her loving your children, reading books with them, playing with the toys with them and continuing to show the children Jesus with her actions, her attitude, her words and her heart. Mayra is Ephesians 3:17 & 18 in action: "And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.”
Andrea is a life group leader and a small group leader in Clubhouse, working with the 5th grade girls. After the girls leave Andrea, they will be headed to RIOT, which is Jr. High School. Andrea is a woman whose heart is so full of God’s grace that she pours His grace that He is pouring over her onto you. She is tenderhearted, loving, sincere, and loves from the center of who she is. We all wonder how Andrea does all she does because she has 4 little children, oldest being 9 and the youngest being 8 months. She gives because of Jesus, she loves because of Jesus, she keeps moving and making a difference only because of Jesus. You will also see Ephesians 3:17 & 18 in action in Andrea’s life too: “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.”
So on Sunday, July 8th, we will be presenting these two amazing servants of God, these two sisters of ours, with an award, with their names on our Stanley Cup Award and also with a book for each of them filled with “ICNUs” that have been written by our Skyline family. This is where you come in. Please stop by the Concierge and pick up one/two of these cards to fill out - to write a line or two of what you have seen in these women that have impacted you or your children or someone else you know. Let’s keep moving forward, taking steps together, to make a difference in each other’s life.
