Dear Amazing Parents,
Is this your first time being our guest at Skyline? Let us walk you through a few easy steps to making sure your kids have a terrific time.
Children Ages 6 weeks to Pre-K
Find the Main Church which is a big red brick building that looks just like a church. Our greeters will be delighted to guide you and your family to the Check In Station down stairs.
Check in. You will be given an information sheet. Remember our goal is that your child experiences being loved. This information is important so that we can send them their very own welcome gift in the mail. We want them to be healthy so we need to know allergies, special needs, etc. We want them to be safe so you will be given a label for both you and your child.
Come back and pick them up. Don’t lose that label as your child will only be released to the person who has that label.
There are 3 classes for Ages 6 Weeks to Pre-K
Baby Steps: Age 6 weeks-17 months
This is a class has play, changing, resting, and eating areas. This is a class and not just a nursery. We have activities planned for over 10months. Which include reading a Bible story, singing simple songs and meaningful play. You will be given take homes to help you succeed leading your child spiritually at home. Maybe the most important thing we do in Baby Steps is help your child learn to be happy while Mom and Dad are in another room. We have a great plan and our team members have been trained to help your child love coming to Babysteps while you are being cared for upstairs.
Little Steps: Age 18 months – 2 years
We love our toddlers!
Experiencing: This class has a full list of activities, a special Bible Story is shown on video and an active worship time. We also give a snack of goldfish, pretzels and juice boxes. We have them engaged the entire time through fun, playful activities that reinforce the Bible story that they have been taught.
Diapers: The staff will ask you to take 1 diaper out from the diaper bag and any special supplies your child might need.
Potty Training: If your child is potty training our Team will talk with you about their timing, signs and help you succeed.
Saying Good Bye: Sometimes at this age your child has a hard time separating from you. Our team is ready and prepared to help your child know that they are loved and cared for even when you are not there. We work with each child and you can know that even if they are crying when you leave, we will help them to stop and if they don’t we will come and get you.
Checkout: A team member will greet you at the door. We don’t allow parents to come into the room for pick up to maintain safety for all the families. They will have your child come to you at the door.
Take Homes: Take homes help your child start learning about God at home. We know that you are the greatest influence in your child’s life, so we want to help you to be able to share God with them in everyday life.
